Jack-In-The-Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum)

Jack-In-The-Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum)

Today with camera in hand, feeling most alive walking at the nature center, I was exploring for nature’s treasures.  Among the forest savannah’s trees, shrubs, forbs, sedges and grasses, there were numerous Jack-In-The-Pulpit, all with brilliant ripening red berry fruit. This is a favorite of mine for it’s fall coloring. Above the fruit, the once large spreading trifoliate leaves wither as the plant goes dormant until the next spring.
